The mission of Joshua's House Foundation is to offer mental health services , vocational programs, and civic engagement education through innovative techniques for families, caregivers , teachers and mental health providers of children and adults facing any kind of developmental or physical disability in a project called “ Mental health education through civic engagement ” offered o n a gratuitous bilingual platform with certified professionals.

Elizabeth Valencia, the founder of Joshua’s House Foundation, is a community leader with more than 20 years of experience in Central Florida in the management of cases with a focus on autism and mental health disorders. Her inspiration has been her son Joshua who was diagnosed with autism, as well as the many children who have this condition.
She decided to change her profession as a lawyer and graduated as a nurse with a master’s degree in psychology, mental health, and every thing related to autism. She also develops new techniques and therapies and at the age of 9, she got her son Joshua to communicate in a verbal and written way.
In 2014 she founded her company Angels for Kids, since its creation, nearly 8,200 patients have been treated, the vast majority being children and teenagers.
In 2017, with her experience as a community leader, she understood the urge to create Joshua’s House Foundation, a non profit organization with 3 fundamental pillars: give mental health services, technical education with vocational programs to support the min achieving a productive life, and education for civic engagement.
Our work is based on five fundamental values:
1.Service: We act with the firm purpose of serving in a responsible way to people with any type of disability, their families, caregivers, and therapists to develop their skills to help their community.
2.Innovation: We seek quality in our work, with a sense of commitment, training, education, and ongoing training to offer the best strategies for our disabled population.
3.Excellence: Our services are accessible to all people with any type of disability, we have the best professionals, the most innovative techniques, with certified programs, a process of monitoring and permanent improvement to offer the best possible standards.
4.Respect: We value and treat people with dignity without distinction of race, gender, ethnicity, or religion.
5.Transparency: We act within the Law and ethical principles
This is a non-profit organization that recognizes the importance of psychological well-being. Through this organization, the participants will have the opportunity to develop coping abilities to manage their loved one’s illness and improve their quality of life to promote independence.
Joshua’s House Foundation goals are to promote educational trainings, develop program and transform communities through psycho-education.
Is a non-profit organization unique in Central Florida because it integrates clinical assistance, educational training, and civic engagement training within its services. All this is to develop the talents and abilities of children, young people, and adults with any disability or mental disorder. And these services are bilingual and free of charge.
